It give's me great pleasure in saying just a few words and as you know Master Choy, I have always been able to talk a lot, maybe because as you said to me once. "Mr Calvert, you like the sound of your own voice".

I sent you a birthday card a few years ago, and on the front cover it said "Taekwon-Do". On the inside was a picture of a birthday cake, where it said "Taekwon-Do, a piece of cake". I don’t think so.

You have taken nearly all your life to perfect the art, so I and all of your instructors know it's definitely NOT a piece of cake.

Looking at you over the years, I and everyone else can see that you have demonstrated all the tenets of Taekwon-Do.

Master Choy, huge congratulations from myself on your promotion to Grandmaster 9th Dan.

Advice ... You have always told me that I'm not getting any younger, and to slow down.

Please, please do the same.
