Master Bryan VII

Master Bryan commenced training in Earls Court London under Mr. A. De’Silva II in 1974 prior to transferring to Camden Town Taekwon-Do School in 1975 that was being run by Mr. Choy who was an II Dan at the time. Progressing up the ranks Mr. Bryan attained the coveted rank of 1st Dan Black Belt when Mr. Choy entered him to grade in 1978 in the UKTA Grading held at Warwick.

Though Master Bryan's career in Taekwon-Do has not exactly been tournament orientated, the majority of practitioners prefer to train for the aesthetic and beneficial aspects of the Martial Arts rather than the competitive, he did distinguish himself as part of the London and South East area ‘B’ team when they took on the might of the then ‘UKTA’ Midlands area and traversed further in the competition than the London and SE ‘A’ who was taken out in the first round, albeit by dubious and questionable decisions that even a blind person would disagree with.

Master Bryan's committed involvement with the BUTF in the year it was formed, was the opening of Wembley Taekwon-Do in 1988 which is still running along with a second school in the Wembley area producing a number of Black belts. He further opened Stonebridge Taekwon-Do School in 1992, as a 4th Dan, which was unfortunately closed in the latter part of the 90’s.
