Mr Kambo V

. I started training in Taekwondo in 1992 alongside my elder brother Mr G Kambo VI Dan, at Harrow Taekwondo which started at Whitmore High School under guidance of Sasung Manning IX Dan. Being a keen sportsman I was looking for something more challenging. From the first moment of entering the dojang, it was clear to see Sasung Manning’s holistic approach to martial arts, it was not only physical development but his approach would instil mental strength.

Through continued training and dedication I progressed through the grades at a steady pace and regularly competed in tournaments around the country and attained I Dan in 1996. I saw the tournaments an opportunity to test my skills and knowledge and to learn how to defend myself.

I initially gained a flavour of teaching at Harrow and in 2005 I qualified as a BUTF standard Instructor. In 2009 I attained the internationally recognised stripes of IV Dan. This naturally led me, to become an Assistant Instructor to Eastcote Taekwondo under Mr G Kambo VI Dan, where I learnt the art of teaching and motivating students to thrive in all aspects of life.

In 2018 saw me open up Pinner Taekwondo School as a satellite school of Harrow Taekwondo. At this point the seeds planted by Sasung Manning IX Dan and high standards set by Sasung MK Choy IX came to fruition.

I would also like to take this opportunity to convey my appreciation to my Instructor Sasung Manning IX, Mr G Kambo VI and the BUTF hierarchy for their continued support and dedication.
